WALTER BROOKS IS A FINALIST IN THE 2O25 RIGG DESIGN PRIZE AT THE NGV AUSTRALIA

Congratulations to Walter Brooks, who has been nominated as a finalist in the 2O25 Rigg Design Prize at the NGV Australia for his work Wangatunga Jirtaka Jilamra (A collection of ten folded bark baskets with sawfish design)Hear Walter discuss his work TODAY, Saturday 2O.O9.2O25, 11am on Level 3  of the Ian Potter Centre.

The Rigg Design Prize is Australia’s highest accolade for contemporary design. Established in 1994 through the visionary bequest of Colin G. Rigg (1895–1982), the $4O,OOO prize champions design as an influential cultural practice and is awarded triennially to an Australian designer demonstrating outstanding creative achievement.

We also congratulate the other finalists, including Alfred Lowe, who was awarded the prize. The exhibition is now open for public viewing on Level 3 at the National Gallery of Victoria Ian Potter Centre at Fed Square.
