NGA ANNOUNCES LARGE-SCALE JANET FIELDHOUSE COMMISSION

It is with great pleasure that we can finally announce that the second commission in the National Gallery x Art Makers series will be created by Janet Fieldhouse.

The large-scale work is inspired by the artist’s matrilineal connections to the Torres Strait Islander communities.  To be positioned in the National Gallery’s Sculpture Garden, the commission will be Fieldhouse’s most ambitious work to date.
