I have always felt a deep curiosity about the complex links between all living things and how fragile, dependent and balanced our world needs to be. And so much of what I see exists in its own beauty and power. My people have always been a part of the balance, we still contribute to it, and we receive its offerings. For me, this series and each painting is an unveiling of the preciousness of nature's work.”

Developing my own painting language is the essence of my work. My practice combines observations of my world, deep connections to places and my own personal experiences living a cultural life. But above all else, my paintings start with a love, respect and appreciation for all that we are and all that we have and I try to convey this through my work.”

Country provides the space and clarity that allow me to experience the vastness, diversity, and to cultivate the present moment. When I am in nature, I feel belonged, accepted, real and loved. My traditional Country allows me to be me, and to participate in life, this is my culture; and the beauty of culture means that through my work I can take care of the details, applying what I already know, and discovering new things along the way.”
