Including recent major acquisitions by Clare Jaque Vasquez, Contemporary Currents brings together the works of four artists (Ada Pula Beasley, Aileen Napaljarri Long, Tania Major and Clare Jaque Vasquez) whose practices speak to the living, evolving nature of First Nations creativity in Australia today. Across painting, and mixed media, the artists explores culture as something dynamic, held in memory, carried through Country, and continually reshaped by lived experience. Their works move between ancestral knowledge and contemporary expression, revealing how stories, symbols, and connections endure while finding new forms.
