Drawn from the permanent collection of Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC), Views and Vistas of the Valley presents a compelling visual dialogue between place, history, community and perceptions.
This collection exhibition explores how a public collection reflects the narrative of the area’s development. It examines this evolution through the lenses of architecture, landscape, people and still life, alongside some of Moonee Valley’s iconic public art installations.
Audiences are invited to consider the ways art can amplify a place’s histories, transformations and everyday resonance, and recognise the many ways in which a community can be seen-and can see itself-through art.
