MAREE CLARKE IN TARRAWARRA BIENNIAL 2O25: WE ARE EAGLES

Inspired by the words of Pastor Sir Doug Nicholls KCVO OBE, who declared in his 1938 Day of Mourning speech, “We do not want chicken-feed…we are not chickens; we are eagles,” this exhibition explores how regenerative practices and transcultural connections reclaim spaces and challenge colonial narratives.

Curated by Yorta Yorta woman, writer and curator Kimberley Moulton, We Are Eagles, brings together works by 23 artists reflecting on land, objects, memory and the more-than-human world.
