MAREE CLARKE IN ‘EXCHANGE’ EXHIBITION AT RE-OPENED BLAK DOT GALLERY

22.04.2025

After a year and a half of redevelopments, Blak Dot Gallery has re-opened in Melbourne and is currently showing EXCHANGE – part of this year’s Yirramboi Festival.

The group show features a dynamic new body of work by eight First Nations artists based in Naarm (Melbourne) – Maree Clarke, Lisa Couzens, Vicki Couzens, Kirsten Garner Lyttle, Brian Martin, Yhonnie Scarce, Frances Tapueluelu, and Wani Toaishara.  Each artist has navigated industry and policy on their own terms, forging practices deeply rooted in culture, history, and mutuality.
